The vast 14 billion lightyear long starless Dark Zone is hardly ever traveled into. The Solar Federation past a law stating that the Dark Zone is a danger area and no one is to enter it unauthorized.

However, when on a mission to study a comet burst near the Dark Zone Border the U.S.S. Warhead and the U.S.S. Weddington picked up a distress call from a ship in the Dark Zone. The ships immeditely began to respond to the distress call. But when the they entered the Zone they realize that they have been tricked. Worse yet both ships begin to lose all power…
