Historic, old and obsolete, the Champion II is a relic. She is over 800 years old and has made first contact with 256 alien races. Built as a Solar Class ship in the late 24th century, she is 11,000 feet in length. Champion II had a successful 45 year career in the Federation. She set many speed records and won the Gold Plate from the Apollo in 2360.

After losing the Gold Plate to newer vessels, the ship was retired in 2380 and used as a training vessel used in Starship Academy until 2400. Afterward she was sold to the mining industry and served as a cargo vessel, transporting hundreds of thousands of miners, machinary and food to mines all across the Federation.

In 2418 the ship was hijacked by the SAA and served as a salavager, recovering data and useful weapons. Nine years later, the Champion II was found adift in an astreiod field. It was then dumped in a scrap yard and forgotten.

In 3300, an actress purchused the ship for a meer 2,000,000 CP ($4,500,000) and turned it into a space hotel. 26 years later the Fedeation rebought the vessel, restored it and currently uses it as a surver.
